Carlheim Barn at Paxton

CWP took part in a two phase renovation of the historic Carlheim Barn at the Paxton Campus on behalf of the Arc of Loudoun. The barn’s adaptive reuse renovations consisted of transforming the lower level space to serve the Paxton Behavioral Clinic, two ADA bathrooms, a kitchenette, a reception area and office space. The upper level renovations consisted of stair alterations, a reception sitting area, a kitchenette, two ADA bathrooms, storage closets and office space. The transformation served to repurpose the barns historic structure with new purpose while blending the historical context with modern needs.
