Abernethy Spencer Greenhouse Garden

We were honored to be part of this iconic renovation, passionately brainstormed by our friends at Abernethy & Spencer Greenhouse Garden Center.

CWP’s team rebuilt, reinforced and replaced the existing block foundation while temporarily lifting the existing historic conservatory off its foundation to stabilize it. The process was complex involving customized synchronized structural jacks and cribbing for temporary support. Once the conservatory was safely suspended, the foundation was repaired and rebuilt to accommodate a second-level gallery balcony supported by steel columns and interior concrete stairs. Additionally, our team parged the interior and exterior foundation, painted, installed period era steel windows by The French Steel Company, installed commercial steel doors, tile flooring, exterior Trex decking, and renovated the interior and exterior bathrooms.

The best part of this project was being surrounded by friends, community, plants and Lola the infamous parakeet!
