Historic Thorton Walker House

CWP had the honor and pleasure working with owner/designer Lisa Luby Ryan and her husband, Jay, carefully renovating the interior and exterior of their historic property in Unison. We updated a second level bathroom suite with customized hand cut marlble tile in the primary shower area and restoring the old heart of pine hardwood floor. Additionally, CWP’s team updated the interior rooms with fresh paint, removed and repurposed cabinetry, structurally reinforced the second level, updated the main level powder bath, re-chinking between the interior logs, updated lighting, HVAC. The exterior siding was removed, adding cellular foam insulation, and replaced with Boral wood custom ship lap topped off with customized working window shutters for a more historically accurate period look. We loved exposing the authenticity of this historic gem, carefully updating it to withstand many more centuries to come.
